I was a lucky girl this year since my birthday fell on a Sunday. This meant an entire weekend of celebrating! We started Friday night with dinner at Pappasitos. The kids were all very well behaved and they may now never go back to chips and sopapillas from anywhere else
Jeff and I got to escape for date night on Saturday, thanks to my parents! Sunday brought us gorgeous 75 degree weather to celebrate with the family. My old camera was looking pretty shabby, so Jeff and the kids got me a fantastic new one for my birthday. I think this means I really need to step up my game and figure out how to use something other than the auto setting and learn what ISO is.
But for today, the kids and I snapped away on auto…and I LOVED it!

She is currently obsessed with Puppy (no name, just Puppy) and he must go with her everywhere.

Austin took this shot of Jeff and I. It may be blurry, but I love it!

Shorts in January is pretty fantastic! Austin is not a fan of me taking his picture, so I try to capture him without annoying him

Their outfit of choice – Reese with leggings and a skirt and Ella insists on sleeveless, even in January.

Off they go!

Ella wanted to have her picture taken and then take a few pictures. Love that sweet girl!

By the way—I got lots of comments on these pants. They were not well received, but I stand by them!

See, that is his “Really, are you going to take my picture again?” face.

Goofy uncle Jacob and Ella taking a picture of shy Reese.

Those dimples!

It was a relaxing, fabulous birthday. I was thinking back to 10 years ago when I turned 26. 26 was the year that we bought our first house and decided to try and have a baby (which brought us Austin!) 10 years, 3 houses and 3 kids later at 36…I would say I am one lucky lady to have experienced what I have so far and have this wonderful man, these three sweet kids and the rest of my family to celebrate with and enjoy all our other crazy moments. I am looking forward to a great year and can’t imagine what life will look like in another 10 years from now!
