San Diego trip, July 2015 Day 7

We ended the trip with a visit to the USS Midway, lunch in Seaport Village, then swimming and smores.

Reese was in a mood and wanted to take a picture, but evidently didn’t want to be in it….I just went with it.

This memory is burned into my mind, a porch, glass of vino, and an ocean sunset.  It was an amazing vacation, so nice to spend time and snuggles with the family!

San Diego trip, July 2015 Day 6

We headed up north to show the kids where we used to live.  First stop was Jeff’s work and then our very first house we rented on Sartori in Torrance.  They could not believe how small it was!

Then we drove by Little Company of Mary hospital in Torrance where Austin was born and then to our first house we owned and the one we brought him home to.

Here we were in January 2006, the day before he and I moved back to Texas, at 9 months old.

Flash forward 9.5 years and 2 sisters later.
Jeff did almost every detail on the house himself, the front door, the outside paint, the mail box, the porch light, the tile front porch all of the landscaping.  It sure was small, but it was filled with love and will probably always be our favorite house.

Then we had lunch at our favorite spot, Riviera…yum!  Jeff said he was worried that it wouldn’t taste as good as he remembered, but it sure did.
A quick walk down to the Redondo Beach and we headed back to San Diego.  It was a lot of car time, but so worth it to share our memories with the kids.

San Diego trip, July 2015 Day 5

Beach day was fun, but after lunch, it took another turn and Reese was hit with the bug.

Brr,the water was cold.  We are spoiled by the Hilton Head beach, but this was a fun change of pace.

We even spotted dolphins close by.

Everybody was better the next day, so we hit the San Diego Zoo.
The weather was amazing and the animals even more so, it was a favorite part for all of us!
