Jeff made one of my favorite meals and we had the family over the day before. Hard to believe this was the 20th birthday I have been able to celebrate with this handsome guy by my side! (the kids are less than enthused)
Here we were on birthday #2 together, when I turned 18.
19 years, 3 kids and so many wonderful years later!

We enjoyed the day together on our 2nd annual hiking trip with a reward of Fuddruckers for lunch
The group went out to some small cabins near Concan, TX and although Ella ended up being a little under the weather, had such a great time. She told me a few days before they left, “Mom, you know how girls usually spend time with moms and boys with their dads? This trip is just for girls and their dads!”
They got a full day of hiking in at Garner State Park and Jeff said it was beautiful. We will definitely have to make a trip over the next time we are out there.
Our 5th year of playing has begun and man has the game changed. Austin and his friends have come so far and it is so much fun to watch them out there. This guy scored 18 points in one of the games, so proud of him!

January and February seem to have brought me quite a bit of traveling…and a broken car,which meant taking a cab to the airport. Jeff surprised me on one trip back with these three as my chauffeurs home. Nothing better to come home to then my four!
Ella and Austin both did well on their report cards, so Jeff thought it would be a good idea for them as a reward to each get a fish.
Austin picked Romo, Ella picked Ally, and Reese picked Rainbow.
Unfortunately Romo wasn’t with us for as long as we would like. We have since welcomed Desi in his place. Sweet Jeff got their tank all styled up
We agreed it probably isn’t worth it to renew our annual passes, but we had a gorgeous day in early January and got one more trip in.

Understandably so, being that he is almost 10, my shots of Austin are fewer and further between, as are our zoo trips. I will always hold a place in my heart for this stinky, wonderful place, that has given us so many fun weekend adventures over the past 10 years.
