4th of July at Blue Hole, Wimberley

We had never been to Blue Hole before and I was a little unsure about the whole thing since they only let in a limited number of people at a time.  We made it there in plenty of time, waited in line a bit and were in the first group to get in.

My expectations were low, so Jeff and I were both surprised at how much fun it was.  It was beautiful and relaxing and just easy.  The kids would come back and forth from the water to eat and they managed to last from 10am until almost 5pm!

We were all so worn out from the day that by the time we got home all we could manage was watching the New York fireworks on tv.  It was an awesome way to spend the 4th, can’t wait to try it again next year!

This guy was a swinging machine, it was awesome!  Ella mastered the lower swing as well.  Can’t wait to see if Reese can try next year too.

Girls and Sea World

Reese has found her inner fashionista and has commandeered some of my jewelry and shoes.

I glanced over and saw them hanging together on grandma’s floats.

Austin was in Houston with grandpa Al and grandma Liz to see the Astros play the Yankees.  He had such a fantastic time, memories to last forever.  Jeff and I finally got our own passes and hit SeaWorld with the girls.  It was such a change from 2 years ago,no more strollers and these girls took off on so many rides by themselves.  Bittersweet for sure.  Can’t wait to go back with Austin!

Missions Game

Some sweet friends of ours weren’t able to make the game, so they offered us their tickets.  Austin was so happy to be back around baseball and we all had a great, family Friday night.

Evenings at the pool

I have been traveling most of May and all of June, at least 1 night a week, so I have missed more summer fun than I care to acknowledge.  The kids always know that when they have a night with Jeff they will do something fun, even if it means something as simple as swimming after dinner or movie night on a Wed.

We have such a great neighborhood pool because it is usually almost empty, so we get it to ourselves.  Hopefully we will have our own pool someday, but for now we love a summer night of swimming here.

This girl is a 17 year old trapped in a 7 year old’s body, sweet girl….god help us 10 years from now.

These two are gonna be trouble someday, who knows what they were chatting about, but it was very importantSmile

This boy had a toss challenge with Jeff, not sure who won, but I know Jeff gave him a run for his money.  I think Sandy has since taken over that ball as her own toySmile

Father’s Day 2015

We have had an amazing amount of rain this spring and start of summer, and unfortunately this bled into Father’s Day.

The only thing Jeff really wanted to do for the day was swim, but it was not meant to be.

The kids and I did get to take my dad to breakfast, let Jeff sleep in and grab a run, then we celebrated with his family later in the day.  We wrapped it all up with the best dad ever and grilled steak.

I grabbed this shot before the kids went to bed, we are so lucky to have such an amazing husband and dad, we love you babe!

McCallister team baseball party–Spring 2015

We broke away from the JW to swing by Austin’s baseball party so he could see his teammates and get his trophy. We are so proud of how hard these boys played!

Austin, Hayden and Scott have played together since they were four years old!

And these dads have coached them every season.

Each one of these boys played their hearts out and were such good kids.  A great season!

End of school get-away at the JW

We decided to do a mini-getaway and hit the JW Marriott the weekend after school got out.

Jeff played golf and then we all hit the water park.

A sweet friend who works there helped us secure the room and we had treats waiting for us when we got back.

This silly boy did a great job taking Ella on the slide over, and over, and over again.

Last day of school–1st and 4th grade, June 4th, 2015!

The year flew by and Austin is now done with 4th grade and Ella is done with 1st!

I have been traveling a ton the last 6 weeks for work, so didn’t have it together to get a chalk-board shot on their last day, but here is a peek at them 9 months ago.

My dad picked them up on the last day and took them to play put put, they had a great time!

We are so proud of our A honor roll boy, he had to fight a bit mid-year to get back up there, but he put together a plan and he rocked it out!

We are excited to start Great Hearts next year, but Ella is definitely not happy about leaving her Huebner family.  She has loved her teachers so much, but I am sure she will have just as wonderful teachers and new friend there too.

IMG_4202IMG_4201

We loved her newsbook each week, she would write us a letter and we would write her back.

And now to enjoy the summer and then in a few months, our first school year with all three kids!
