2015 CapTexTri

These monkeys were thrilled with two beds to jump on!

We got lucky and the rain stayed away for the entire trip until we were leaving town on Monday.  We even got a bit of sun and the kids swam their hearts out for a few hours.

We hit our tradition of Freddie’s spot and then grabbed some delicious Gelato next door.

Waiting to cheer Jeff on.

Jeff did the Olympic distance – 25 mile bike and 10K run.  The crazy rain made the bacteria levels too high in the lake, so they had to cancel the swim.

In two years, Jeff has done 15 races and is getting ready for the half Iron Man later this year!

So proud of these two and grateful we have such great friends that join us on these getaway adventures.

Love these crazy kids and looking forward to next year to do it again!

Ella’s 1st concert–Taylor Swift in Baton Rouge

After 2 months of waiting, we were off to Baton Rouge!
IMG_4041
Ella journelled all about our trip.

The sweet security guy grabbed our picture for us as we were leaving the New Orleans airport.

It was a long travel day since it took us two planes and then an hour drive to make it to the hotel that was pretty dumpy, but the girls got to swim, the mammas got a beverage and we were all ready to go see Taylor!

Taylor put on an amazing show!  The only bummer part was that the girls did get tired and we had major issues getting the shuttle back to the hotel.  Needless to say, I am good if I never make it back to Louisiana.
It was a trip I will never forget and it meant so much to be able to share it with my sweet girl!

Uncle Jacob’s 22nd birthday and a send off for Ann Arbor, MI

Uncle Jacob will be at his GM internship in Michigan this summer.  We will miss him, but know he will have a great time!

Mother’s Day 2015

All I wanted was church, Mexican food and a nap.  I got all three and it was a fantastic day!

We got to join Grandma Chris and Great Grandma and Grandpa at church and lunch.

I love these three little monkeys so much and am so happy that I get to be their mom.

Reese’s Growing Up Celebration at Concordia–our last one!

It is hard to believe that after 7 years, we will no longer have any kids at the Concordia day care.

They have been a blessing to our family and it is bittersweet to leave, but exciting about what lies ahead for our soon to be kindergartener!

Celebrating Jeff’s 38th birthday!

We started off the celebration with swimming at Jeff’s mom’s house.  Reese seems to have gotten the hang of swimming the last few times and she is all over the place.

Austin is getting a bit too big for Jeff to throw, but he got a few in.

Jeff’s actual birthday was on a Monday and soccer and baseball practice limited our celebration, but we did squeeze in a late dinner at home with the two of us after the kids were down.

Our sweet Sandy is growing fast!

We wrapped up the celebrations with Top Golf, friends, and Cathy cake.  I love you baby and hope you have a great year!
