Start of fall sports

Jeff was on his annual trip to Vegas with friends, so we were on our own for the start of fall soccer and tackle football. It was Reese's first game at Classics and Austin's first tackle football game.
The sports gods were on my side and although we started crazy early, all three games were back-to-back and all close by.  All our sweet family came out to cheer them on:)
I forgot the real camera and couldn't get any good action shots, so a finisher was all I captured.  I love watching them play and they had a great time...and oh my goodness...when did he start looking so much older and handsome?!?

We also squeezed in a visit with Carly!  I love seeing a glimpse of what must have been their interactions everyday after school...sweet kids and sweet Carly, so glad she came into our lives.

Throw in a few birthday parties and play dates with friends...we missed Jeff, but had a great weekend!

Missions game and silly Reese

The kids asked to go to a Missions game, so we obliged on an actually pleasant end of August, Friday night.  I think they even won:)
He was happy, just refuses to smile for me...I will take what I can get.

and a little silly Reese

Back to school...August 2016

And just like that the summer was over and we were back to school.
We walked into orientation night, and were greeted by all the teachers with "hello Madrid family!"

We are blessed and so thankful to be there.

End of summer stuff

A little here and a little there...it was such a fun summer...and went way too fast.
My shopping partner
My driver
and a cleaning for the girls

Spurs Camp

Austin took a week away from being a junior counselor at summer blast to try Spurs basketball camp with his friends.  They had a visit from Tony Parker during the week...pretty cool!
The highlight for the parents was that we did a carpool and literally just had to drop them at the door...a first...these boys sure are growing up fast!

Magik Theater Camp

Ella and Lauren went to Magik Theater day camp the week before school started.
It ended with a Friday performance.  Reese's group did a Moe Williams montage and Ella's group did an Annie montage.
So cute and fun...proud of these girls! (and on the wrong laptop to edit out red eyes...oh well)

A really hot soccer tournament and end of summer sillies

Ella had a 2 day soccer tournament in Round Rock.  It was fun, but way hot. Sandy was the team mascot.

The girls loved playing the game of LIFE.

his one will sleep in this shirt every single night if we let her:)
This guy's favorite place this summer...

Happy Birthday Grandma Chris and Grandma Liz!

We love you both so much!!
And with 5 grand kids, we take what pictures we can get:)

It was raining off and on the first few days, so when we had a brief break, we ran out and grabbed our annual pictures.
