Reese’s 5th birthday party

Reese and another sweet girl in her class both have their birthday on the same day, so we decided to pair up and have their party together at the Witte museum.  The weather has been pretty dreary lately, but we got lucky and the sun was out for the party.

It was little wild and crazy, but so much fun!

Jeff was here and did so much of the work for it,I think by this point there was a lot of mom chat going on and he was steering clearSmile We had such a great time and so appreciate everyone who came to celebrate with us!

Reese turns 5!

Logically, I know that a birthday will come every year for each one of them, but somehow,it still shocks and surprises me that time flies by so quickly and before I know it they are another year older.

The 5 years that Jeff and I projected would be pretty tough handling 3 small kids, but totally worth it in the long run, have now come and gone.  I would say we were pretty spot on.  The beginning was amazing, but tough.  We had no idea what we were doing and we were the first of our friends to make that leap to 3 kids.  I felt a bit freaked out for a while, but I wouldn’t trade one moment of it.

These three are the light of our life and have made our family complete.  (I love everything that this new phase is bringing us, but man I wish I could have a few more minutes of snuggles of each one of them as a fresh, tiny baby!)

And in a blink of an eye, we have gone from this:

Reese’s 5th birthday family celebration

Jeff cooked up a feast and we celebrated this sweet girl’s 5th birthday with our family last weekend.  She moves quick and isn’t always wanting to stop for a picture these days, so I grabbed what I could.  I love that the kids now spend most of these family celebrations playing with their cousins, Abby and Lily.

We love you Reesie! What a fun way to start your birthday week!

Austin finishes up basketball

Before we knew it, Austin’s winter basketball season was wrapped up and done.  These boys played hard and we had such a great time watching them!  Now we will relax for a few weeks before baseball and soccer start.

These girls have been there to cheer on (or play while the boys play) for games for years.  Can’t believe how much they have grown from a few years ago! (that would be donut powder all over ReeseSmile)
