2013 Pumpkin Carving Party

The tradition started 4 years ago at the Browns house and we were excited to finally be settled in our home and host a gathering after a year of either having the house on the market and always ready to show, moving, living with in-laws or just settling in. It was gooey and glorious!
The kids helped Jeff scoop out the pumpkin guts.

Sweet Ella – I love how you know exactly what you want to wear and how you want to accessorize it, you look marvelous!

Thank goodness for Dads who don’t mind little chairs and pumpkin carving while the moms relax and look on.

The best we can do when trying to get this many kids to look in one direction.  My how they have grown!

The crazy thing, now nobody in our house wears a bib anymore.  At the time it seemed like I would forever be at that stage and in a flash it is gone!

2013 Love Creek Orchard

We could not have asked for better fall weather this past weekend.  It was downright cold at Austin’s 8am baseball game, but by the time we got out to the Love Creek Orchard, it was perfect.  We started coming out here in 2007, when I was pregnant with Ella and Austin was only 2 years old!

How cute is he!
We came back when Ella was 7 months old and Austin was Reese’s age now – 3 1/2:

A few more years in between, and now this year!  Not quite so easy to get one, happy smiling picture of these three, but we did have a great time!

Ponies, yummy food, petting the animals, painting pumpkins, listening to music, so fun!

This picture says so much about her, a half smile, half smirk, she keeps us on our toes!

She was worn out.  I was telling Jeff the other day that when I was picking her up from Concordia, there were so many other little, little kids, and it hit me that soon we wouldn’t have anyone there and none of our kids would be little.  Bittersweet.  She seems so small and so big, sometimes simultaneously.

What a great day it was and we can’t wait to go back for the apple ice cream again next year!
