Grandma Chris

I struggle for so many reasons to actually get these words down.  While we knew in our hearts this moment would come at some point, we were shocked, not ready, and heartbroken now that it has.
While we are blessed that we got longer with Chris than we originally thought we would, the 39 years Jeff had with her, the 22 years I got, and the 11 years we had with her as Grandma Chris will never be enough.
She was so strong, so kind, so dedicated and hard-working.
She loved to travel, which she graciously brought into my life as well.
She gave us each the gift of seeing and enjoying so many new places that we would not have otherwise seen yet.
She loved her friends, she loved golf, football, basketball, and baseball.
She gave and helped you without a second thought, even when you didn't know how much you really needed the help.  So many people came up to us at her service and told us how she changed their lives...in so many wonderful ways.
She did not like anything spicy and loved Blizzards:)
She loved her work...and most of all, she loved her family....her parents, her kids, her extended family...and most of all Austin, Ella, Reese, Abby & Lily.
She came to almost every single sports game you kids had...even when she was feeling bad and it was the only thing she could manage all day...because she loved us all that much...of which we knew and felt, without her having to say a word.

The honor was truly ours....

So, we will try to do our best to model and carry on the way she lived her life for our kids...remember the amazing woman she was and at some point, hopefully have more smiles than tears as we know that we are now blessed with her as our smiling angel in heaven.

These are some of the pictures we have to help us remember her love.
