Spring Ball–2014, kid pitch

Austin moved up to kid pitch this season and it turned out that he was the starting pitcher for the opening game.

He was pretty nervous, but he did a great job.  It is hard to believe my little boy was up there throwing like big guys.

We are so proud of you buddy!

Pep talk from Coach before they got started.  The team we played were a few years older and tough, and even though we didn’t win, we did hold our own and do a great job!

Austin’s stats from this first game - threw 61 pitches, got 3 strike outs, 1 double play and unfortunately no hits.

Ella had her own fun during the game.

I cannot believe this boy is going to be 9 in a few weeks!

Reese turns 4!

Reese’s actual birthday fell on a Tuesday so we celebrated with donuts and presents before school.
I love her bed head!

Austin and Ella each picked a gift for her.  Sophia the 1st doll from Austin and a Disney Princess pretend laptop from Ella.  Of course, the pretend laptop has already been hijacked to Ella’s room.

I am not going to lie, this girl might be our toughest yet, and I didn’t even think that was possible after Ella.  But, she is also so sweet and silly.  She is definitely goofy and likes to have crazy fun just like her daddy and I can’t imagine our family without her.  Sweet Reesie, thank you for making our us complete 4 years ago!

She wasn’t in the mood for pictures when I dropped her off at school, but a sweet friend persuaded her to get this one for me.  Thanks goodness for other moms who know how much it really means to be able to have the day captured.

Mimi and Papa had gotten her swimming lessons for her birthday, so Mimi picked her up early from school for her 1st lesson.  It was a hit!

Then we wrapped up the night with Mexican food and cupcakes.  The perfect way to celebrate this little one, who isn’t staying little for long.

Happy Birthday Reesie, we love you!!!

Reese’s 4th Birthday Party

This sweet girl turning 4 was the perfect opportunity to have a party with friends and family at the house and get a big ol’ bouncy!

The birthday girl started out strong, but we made the mistake of letting her stay up late the night before and go without a nap that afternoon.  Melt down city soon followed.

She got to pick the theme and is currently loving the Little Mermaid, so Ariel it was.

The bouncy arrived hours early so they got to enjoy it all to themselves for a while.

Happy 4 year old smiles.  (Surprisingly she was not happy about wearing this shirt.  I thought she would love it…WRONG.  I stood my ground on this one and she got over it)

As you can see by the pictures, unfortunately by the time we got to piƱata time she was not all that happy.  I felt bad, but the rest of the kids seemed to have a great time.

Moving onto cake and ice cream, she was done.  Our sweet friend Megan tried to get a family shot for us. It is what it isSmile

Sweet cousins!

Austin was having a blast with his friends, but Ella let me catch her and her hoola hoop skills.

After this, she said she was wanted to go lay in the bed.  About 20 minutes later she came out happy again!

Here’s looking forward to many more birthdays and many more parties with all the people we love!
