Austin had his first voting experience with me this Presidential Election year. He was pretty bummed that he couldn’t actually touch the buttons himself, but it did open a great discussion between us about what voting meant, how lucky we are to have the option, and how to appropriately discuss it with people outside our house (mind your own beeswax)
I know I will always remember how happy I was to have Austin by side, I hope it grabs a place in his memory as well.
Because the only way I can get him to take a normal picture with me is to promise a silly one as well.
