The kids had fall break and early release that Friday, but Jeff and I showed up at school about an hour before they got out...walked them out to the car and surprised them with packed bags, airline tickets ready to go...and a trip to Disney. It was awesome!!
It took until we were in the car for it to actually begin to process for the kids. Ella cried when we first told her and Reese and Austin were speechless.
We had lunch at the airport while we waited for our flight and this girl popped out her first lost tooth! Luckily the tooth fairy found her that night at our hotel.
We made it there safe and sound and headed out bright and early Saturday morning to the Magic Kingdom.
Reese was our wild child and the only one who wanted to ride all the crazy rides. We rode Space Mountain first and she was definitely much calmer than Jeff and I.
Ella's favorite ride the whole trip was a car driving ride. We found Alice in Wonderland outside the teacups.
We then found Belle's castle before lunch.
We went back to the hotel for a rest and dinner and then made it back to Disney to see the fireworks that night. We were all tired, but had a great first day.
The next day we got up bright and early again and headed to Epcot.
We had lunch with the fish and my favorite ride was Soarin!
The rides broke on us a lot...but, a broken Frozen ride meant an extra FastPass for Soarin!
The kids loved the pool area at the resort almost as much as they did the theme parks.
On Monday we went to Hollywood Studios. Reese and Jeff hit the Rockin' Roller coaster, which went upside down...brave girl!
We saw some fun shows there, but most of the rides were a bust with our crew...not our older two's cup of tea. We did have one of my favorite meals at this 50's place for lunch. All of the staff was in character and the waitress was very bossy...she kept telling us to keep our elbows off the table and to eat all our food. Jeff and I thought it was hilarious, but Reese...our rule following girl, was not having it....she hated it, poor thing. The ice cream sundaes were so good though!
Let's just say this ride was terrorrrable for most of the Madrid crew...poor things.
We had a fabulous dinner that night as well...then we were headed out the next morning for our final day, back at Magic Kingdom.
The mine train was definitely the kids favorite ride and the girls ended up loving Splash Mountain as well.

We ended the whole thing at dinner with Mickey and friends.
It was such an amazing trip! Our first big trip with just the five of us....we are blessed for sure and will be headed back again!
