When Jeff told me that his friend was getting married in Paris, I didn’t skip a beat, just said “we have to go!” I had never been to Europe and with our 15 year wedding anniversary later this year, it seemed like the perfect way to celebrate.
Luckily, we have a great support system with lots of grandparents and help that allowed us to escape away for a week. We are so appreciative to everyone who helped make this happen for us!
We left here late afternoon and had an overnight flight to Paris.
We had been so busy with work and the kids that we didn’t plan beyond the flat we rented for the week and our flights. We got off the plane and realized, “oh, guess we need to figure out the best way to get to our flat…” We regrouped and not too long later were on our way. Dropped off our stuff and headed out to explore and eat. And then as we were walking around, I looked up and saw this for the first time, so cool!
We grabbed lunch at this café.
After, we wandered the streets a bit more and made our way over to the Eifel Tower.
We powered through the day and enjoyed our steak frites and Bordeaux before finally crashing for the night.
